The Cupboard is now closed.

At last the time has come, and the cupboard is closed. It's been an awful time at work, lots of stress, drama and oceans of tears. We all still have jobs, and we're grateful for that, but it's a big shock.
I'm now destined to work on the "conveyer belt", I'm dreading it, maybe I'll like it when I get there, but I'm considering other avenues of escape, we'll see.

Eliza, you know that old adage...when one door closes, another opens...I firmly believe that this is how things do work in life. I hope that you will find the best way through and beyond these altered circumstances...whatever is best for yourself. For now, take some time out, to catch your breath and recharge your worn batteries!

I am so sorry you've had such a cathartic working time. Hang on in there! I hope you continue to remain optimistic! Good luck and all the best! Take care

I know how attached you had become to the cupboard. Fingers crossed it won't be out of the frying pan into the fire. I am sure it'll be just fine and within a week or two you'll be raving (with happiness, that is) about the conveyor belt.

The cupboard was a magical place, but the magic was the people not the place, being one of the people, the magic will go with you {{hugs}} xx

Desiree - I hope so :-)

Old Kitty - Thanks.

Addy - I'm pretty sure I wont be raving with happiness, with luck it wont be as bad as I think.

Sage - Unfortunately the people that I have worked with for 20 plus years have been split up between 2 units, I'll see one person at handover and the rest only on nights out, if we had all gone together it would have been better:-) Still, there will be new people to meet I suppose.

I'm sorry that you lost something that meant so much to you, but I think you're taking the right approach to it. Give the new situation a chance but look for other options just in case.

Sad to hear that the cupboard is now empty behind closed doors.

Hope you adjust quickly to life on the conveyor belt.

Good luck mon ami.

Wishing you brighter days ahead. I hate change, but I know I have to deal with it from time to time. I hope your change goes smoothly.

Hope it's going well. The good thing is that you still have your job. I've been out of work for 2 1/2 years and things aren't looking much better of late.
